Carlos Monteiro discussed the urgency of a global approach to addressing health issues affecting communities worldwide. He emphasized prevention as an important factor in healthcare systems, determining greater longevity without illness, and raised awareness of populations regarding healthy behaviors such as physical exercise.<\/p>\r\n
He even revealed that a study using analytical phenotyping announced that 71.2% of adults in Portugal met the WHO criteria for \"physical exercise\" with moderate intensity.<\/p>\r\n
With emphasis, he spoke about the implicit and explicit funding from the pharmaceutical industry to the hospital National Health Service (SNS), where payment deadlines exceeded 200 days, making the current payment models for medications, medical devices, and services unsustainable!<\/p>\r\n
Carlos Monteiro showed great interest in interventions of utmost relevance in climate protection, with measures to mitigate waste, modern forms of medical device reuse, among other relevant topics.<\/p>\r\n
