BioJam has been authorized since September 15th to distribute rapid antigen covid-19 tests in Portugal, allowing the detection of possible positive cases of covid-19 during the first 24 hours of contagion. They are indicated for rapid diagnosis in the early stage of infection and provide results in just 15 minutes.
BioJam announced that its operational capacity allows it to market 3 million rapid antigen tests in the Portuguese market within 24 hours.
This is a diagnostic tool that, based on a lateral flow system, does not require instrumentation, meaning the test is performed with a simple device that detects the presence of a substance in a liquid sample without the need for specialized and expensive equipment.
The antigen rapid tests are manufactured in Germany.
