The Award
The Biojam Inovar Award, established in 2018, aims to recognize and promote research projects that contribute to scientific advancement and innovation in the field of health.
With a focus on quality and scientific relevance, the award honors work conducted in various clinical areas, promoting the sharing of knowledge and encouraging applied research.
With a cash prize of 1,250 euros, the award is given to projects that stand out for their potential impact on clinical practice and the improvement of healthcare.
Through this initiative, Biojam reinforces its commitment to innovation and the continuous development of scientific knowledge.

As part of the 18th Annual Scientific Meeting of the Portuguese Burn Society, two more outstanding works were recognised with the Biojam Inovar Awards.

Biojam was pleased to present yet another Biojam Inovar Award, recognizing and encouraging innovation in the field of health.
In this edition, Dr. Margarida Freitas was honored as the winner of the Biojam Inovar Award in Hospital Pharmacy, in recognition of her contribution and dedication to the advancement of this vital field.
The award ceremony took place during the XVII Hospital Pharmacy Conference, a highly relevant event for the pharmaceutical community, held at the Ordem dos Farmacêuticos in Lisbon. The award was presented by Dr. João Ribeiro, a board member of the Hospital Pharmacy Specialty College of the Order of Pharmacists (CCEFH-OF).
Through this initiative, Biojam reaffirms its commitment to promoting research, innovation, and excellence in hospital pharmacy, fostering the sector’s continuous development and a positive impact on patients’ lives.
In another edition of the Biojam Award for Innovation in Pediatric Oncology, the Biojam Holding Group had the honor of recognizing the Pediatric Hematology and Oncology Society (SHOP) for its commitment and advancements in the field. The award ceremony featured the special presence of our collaborator Pedro Trigo and Dr. Nuno Farinha, who also took the opportunity to announce the continuation of the award in 2025.
Biojam reaffirms its support for SHOP and its mission, highlighting its ongoing commitment to innovation and progress in the treatment of childhood cancer.

The work “Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia in Children,” which encompassed data from the three national centers treating leukemia in pediatric patients – IPO Lisbon, IPO Porto, and the Coimbra University Hospital Center (CHUC) – received the Biojam INOVAR 2018 Award in Pediatric Hematology and Oncology.
