OF and Biojam stimulate pharmaceutical research

The Order of Pharmacists (OF) and Biojam have signed a collaboration protocol to create a new category of the Biojam Innovate Award in the field of Pharmaceutical Sciences, aimed at recognizing and promoting high-quality and scientifically relevant research conducted by pharmacists. The agreement also includes a new scholarship program for students of the Integrated Master's Degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences.

The new award fulfills the purposes of both entities, which are committed to promoting innovation and the development of research in the field of Health and Pharmaceutical Sciences, in a particular manner.

The Biojam Innovate Award was created in 2018 and aims to recognize research projects that promote innovation in different areas of Health. With a monetary value of 1,250 euros, projects are recognized in seven distinct areas: General and Family Medicine, Pediatric Oncological Hematology, Hospital Pharmacy, Rare Diseases, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, and the Biojam Innovate Award Azores by Kosmohealth.

The agreement was signed this Thursday, July 6, at the provisional headquarters of the OF, in Lisbon, in the presence of the president of the OF, Helder Mota Filipe, and the administrator of Biojam, Carlos Monteiro.
