The pharmaceutical company BioJam notified the National Authority of Medicines and Health Products (Infarmed) for the distribution of NADAL COVID-19 Ag rapid antigen tests. This is a test that "allows detecting, from the first 24 hours of contagion, a virus protein that allows determining the infection," having a "detection window similar to PCR tests." Results are obtained in 15 minutes.
In these rapid antigen tests presented by BioJam, there is also no need for instrumentation, "which significantly reduces false positives generated by contamination from other tests," the company states in a press release.
According to the pharmaceutical company, rapid tests are "reliable and accessible," enabling the detection of "infection outbreaks on a large scale" and "thus reducing the spread of the disease."
